Paintings
When I pick up my watercolours I'm off into my mythological worlds. Being mainly housebound and someone who lived abroad for many years prior to being ill, I miss heading into the unknown. But through this medium I travel to my personal surreal worlds. The watercolour is laid first, then using my beloved dip pen I lay down all the small ink marks. They dance all over the page adding the details, creating the beings and landscapes, adding all the movement and energy of the piece, again something my disability has taken away. Once done I see what has appeared, often many volcanoes, animist spirits and stone circles.
